Job summary

Hawthorne Health is expanding its Home Network and seeks dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to work Per Diem on a decentralized clinical study. You will travel regionally to patient homes to conduct in-home cardiac and vascular imaging visits, paid on a per-visit basis with travel reimbursements as needed.

Responsibilities include setting up portable ultrasound equipment, performing echocardiograms and vascular imaging per protocol, and providing preliminary reports.

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac imaging (RDCS) and vascular imaging (RVT/RVS).
• BLS certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel locally/regionally.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet; proficient with digital tools.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings; strong communication.
• Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments; time management.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes to conduct visits and imaging.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment at patient sites.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging sessions.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer notes.
• Maintain high-quality standards in line with ASE guidelines.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
