Job summary

Hawthorne Health, Inc. is expanding its Home Network and seeks dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to work per diem on a decentralized clinical study.

You will travel regionally to patient homes to perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging, with travel expenses reimbursed per visit. Responsibilities include setting up portable ultrasound equipment, obtaining informed cooperation, and delivering protocol-compliant imaging and preliminary reports.

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac and vascular imaging is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally are required.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet is required.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional home settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes to conduct visits; volume varies by region.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participant.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging studies per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments.
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
