Job summary

Hawthorne Health, Inc. is expanding its Home Network and seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to perform in-home imaging visits on a per-visit basis.

You will travel regionally, set up portable ultrasound equipment, and conduct echocardiograms and vascular studies per protocol, with travel expenses reimbursed. This is a per diem, 1099 independent contractor role that pays $450–$600 per visit.

Qualifications

• Active registration in both cardiac and vascular imaging (RDCS/RCS and RVT/RVS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet.
• Ability to travel regionally/locally.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments.
• Time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes to conduct visits, volume varies by region.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participant.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging studies per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments.
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
