Job summary

Hawthorne Health is expanding its Home Network and seeks dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to work Per Diem on a decentralized clinical study. Travel to patient homes regionally to conduct in-home cardiac and vascular imaging visits, paid on a per-visit basis.

Travel reimbursements are provided. You will transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment, explain procedures, perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging, and complete preliminary reports with measurements.

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac and vascular imaging (RDCS/RCS + RVT/RVS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel locally/regionally.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet; tech savvy.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptability in dynamic field environments.
• Time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes for visits.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and comments.
• Maintain ASE-aligned high-quality standards.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed.
