Axon in the Greater Chicago Area is hiring a Mission Operator II to serve as the trusted technical advisor for public safety agencies, guiding them through the full customer lifecycle with a focus on operational outcomes.

You'll bring deep software and hardware expertise, lead deployments, drive AI adoption, and mentor others while building trust and delivering measurable improvements in customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Typically 5–7 years of experience in technical account management or similar customer-facing roles.
• Experience with enterprise software, SaaS, cloud tech, or integrated environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Working knowledge of networking, cloud infrastructure, and IT integrations.
• Ability to travel and to obtain CJIS compliance if required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor for assigned public safety agencies.
• Build trusted relationships with technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
• Conduct regular reviews focused on operational success.
• Develop long-term customer success and technology adoption strategies.
• Lead deployments across multiple Axon products.
• Independently troubleshoot complex software, hardware, networking, cloud, and integration issues.
• Lead technical escalations involving Product, Engineering, Support, and Professional Services.
• Guide implementation planning, architecture discussions, and technology modernization.
• Analyze customer health, adoption metrics, and provide data-driven recommendations.
