Job summary

Leidos in Reston, Virginia is seeking a Mission Engineering Analyst to build innovative, mission-level simulations in AFSIM and to integrate Leidos software within the framework.

You will work with technical leaders to develop complex scenarios, analyze results, and communicate findings to stakeholders. This role requires DoD experience, TS clearance, and on-site work within commuting distance of Reston/Arlington.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science with 8+ years of relevant experience (MS with 6+ years acceptable).
• 4+ years in modeling, simulation, and analysis, preferably using AFSIM.
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB; DoD mission/campaign operations knowledge.
• US citizenship with Top Secret clearance; SCI eligibility; able to work 50% in office near listed locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop models of multi-domain systems in mission-level simulations using AFSIM.
• Create advanced models of space, air, maritime, and ground systems; conduct evaluation and validation.
• Apply Object-Oriented Programming to maximize M&S scalability and extensibility.
• Analyze simulation results to communicate effectiveness in real-world contexts.
• Collaborate with SMEs, software engineers, and analysts across the Defense Sector and Leidos.
• Document model development processes, results, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
