Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mission Engineering Analyst to develop innovative, multi-domain simulations using AFSIM. You will model space, air, maritime, and ground systems, integrate Leidos software within AF SIM, and analyze results to inform decisions.

Collaboration with SMEs and engineers across the Defense Sector will be key. The role requires 8+ years in modeling/ simulation, advanced programming skills (Python/MATLAB), and a TS-clearance-eligible citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of experience (6+ with Master's).
• 4+ years in modeling, simulation, and analysis, preferably using AFSIM.
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB.
• Deep understanding of military operations at mission/campaign level (DoD projects).
• Modeling military systems across multiple domains.
• Familiarity with Agile DevSecOps practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to communicate and document complex processes.
• Ability to collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams; manage multiple projects.
• US citizenship with Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop models of multi-domain systems in mission-level simulations using AFSIM.
• Create advanced models of space, air, maritime, and ground systems and perform evaluation.
• Apply OO programming to enhance M&S scalability and extensibility.
• Analyze simulation results and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with SMEs, software engineers, and analysts to boost productivity.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
• Document development processes and results for knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with latest AFSIM advancements.
• Assist in creating technical docs and presentations for progress reports.
