Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Principal Mission Engineering Analyst to develop multi-domain simulations using AFSIM and integrate Leidos software into the framework. You will work with SMEs and engineers across the Defense Sector to deliver innovative, validated mission models and analyses.

The role requires strong programming skills (Python, MATLAB) and deep knowledge of military operations at mission/campaign levels, with 50% on-site work in Huntsville, Arlington, Reston, or other listed locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field; 12+ years of experience (or Master’s with 10+).
• 7+ years of modeling, simulation, and analysis, preferably using AFSIM.
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB; OOP practices and DoD domain knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop models of multi-domain systems using AFSIM for mission-level simulations.
• Create advanced models of space, air, maritime, and ground systems and evaluate them.
• Apply Object-Oriented Programming to improve M&S scalability and extensibility.
• Analyze simulation results to support decision-making with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with SMEs and engineers to maximize productivity in O&A.
