Job summary

Axon is seeking a Mission Engineer II to partner with public safety agencies, translating operational challenges into workable technical solutions. You’ll be embedded with the agency, serving as a go‑to technical resource and coordinating cross‑team collaboration across Product, Engineering, Support, and Sales.

The role emphasizes building scalable outcomes with Axon tools, APIs, data, and AI, delivering measurable value while maintaining CJIS compliance and onsite presence.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in solutions engineering, software engineering, or hands-on technical roles.
• Foundational software engineering capability and experience building technical solutions.
• Working knowledge of APIs, scripting/programming, data, testing, debugging, and modern development practices.
• Understanding of AI concepts and practical applications.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS compliance and onsite presence.

Responsibilities

• Embed with agencies to understand mission, people, workflows, systems and priorities.
• Develop knowledge of Axon ecosystem and deployed products at your agency.
• Translate customer problems into clear technical requirements and measurable success criteria.
• Build applications, dashboards, workflows, automations using Axon tools.
• Move solutions from discovery into real customer use and drive adoption.
