Job summary

Axon is seeking a Mission Engineer II to embed with public safety agencies, turning operational challenges into working technical solutions using Axon tools, AI, automation, and data.

You will be the go-to on-site technical resource, collaborating with Product, Engineering, Support, Deployment, Training, and Sales to align around deployments and customer priorities, while ensuring CJIS compliance and mission success.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in solutions engineering, software engineering, systems, or hands-on technical roles.
• Foundational software engineering capability and experience building technical solutions.
• Working knowledge of APIs, scripting, data, testing, debugging, and modern development practices.
• Understanding of AI concepts and practical applications.
• Strong technical curiosity and ability to learn emerging platforms quickly.
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems rather than just execute tasks.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS compliance and pass agency background requirements.

Responsibilities

• Embed with agencies to understand missions, workflows, systems, and priorities.
• Develop knowledge of Axon ecosystem and deployed products.
• Translate customer problems into technical requirements and measurable success criteria.
• Build applications, dashboards, workflows, and automations using Axon tools.
• Drive adoption and measure results against success criteria.
• Serve as the on-site technical resource and connect cross-functional teams as needed.
