Job summary

Axon is seeking a Mission Engineer II to join on-site with public safety agencies. You’ll embed with the agency, translate needs into technical requirements, and build end-to-end Axon-based solutions using APIs, AI, and automation.

You’ll collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support to deliver impactful deployments and ongoing value. You’ll spend time with frontline users and leadership to uncover friction, define success, and ensure long-term operational impact.

Qualifications

• Typically 3–5+ years in solutions engineering or a hands-on technical role.
• Foundational software engineering ability and building technical solutions.
• Working knowledge of APIs, scripting, data, testing, and modern practices.
• Understanding of AI concepts and practical applications.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Embed with agencies to understand mission, workflows, systems, and priorities.
• Translate customer problems into technical requirements and success criteria.
• Build applications, dashboards, workflows, and automations using Axon tools.
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering to solve complex deployments.
• Drive adoption and measure results against success criteria.
