Job summary

Axon is seeking a Mission Engineer II to work directly with public safety agencies, turning operational challenges into technical solutions. You will embed with the agency, understand workflows, and translate needs into actionable AI-enabled builds.

Responsibilities include building applications and dashboards, applying software engineering concepts, and coordinating with Product/Engineering to deliver sustained operational value.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in solutions engineering or related hands-on technical role.
• Foundational software engineering capability and experience building technical solutions.
• Knowledge of APIs, scripting/programming, data, testing, debugging, and modern development practices.
• Understanding of AI concepts and practical applications.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Embed with agencies to understand mission, workflows, systems, and priorities.
• Translate customer problems into technical requirements and measurable success criteria.
• Build applications, dashboards, workflows, and automations using Axon tools.
• Configure and extend Axon capabilities across the ecosystem.
• Move solutions from discovery to real customer use and measure adoption.
