Axon seeks a Mission Engineer II to work onsite with public safety agencies, turning operational challenges into working technical solutions. You will embed with the agency, understand their workflows, and translate needs into actionable technical requirements.

You will build applications and dashboards using Axon tools, apply software engineering practices, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to extend capabilities. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Typically 3–5+ years of experience in solutions engineering or similar hands-on technical roles.
• Foundational software engineering capability and demonstrated experience building technical solutions.
• Working knowledge of APIs, scripting, data, testing, debugging, and modern development practices.
• Understanding of AI concepts and practical applications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS compliance and satisfy agency background requirements.

Responsabilités

• Embed with assigned agencies to understand their mission, people, workflows, systems, and priorities.
• Develop knowledge of Axon ecosystem and products deployed at agencies.
• Translate customer problems into clear technical requirements and measurable success criteria.
• Identify opportunities for AI, automation, data, and Axon capabilities to improve agency operations.
• Be the on-site technical resource and coordinate across teams without replacing deployment/product teams.
• Drive adoption and measure results against agreed success criteria.
