Job summary

Axon is seeking a Mission Engineer II to work directly with public safety agencies across the United States, embedded onsite with customer agencies and traveling as needed. This ownership role focuses on turning real operational challenges into working technical solutions using Axon tools, AI, automation, and data.

You’ll spend time with the people doing the work, understanding agency operations, identifying problems worth solving, and building scalable solutions that deliver measurable value

Qualifications

• Typically 3–5+ years in hands-on technical roles.
• Experience with APIs, scripting, data, testing, and debugging.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Embed with assigned agencies to understand their mission, workflows, systems, and priorities.
• Develop broad knowledge of the Axon ecosystem and deeper expertise in deployed products.
• Work with frontline users, technical teams, and agency leadership to uncover operational friction.
• Translate customer problems into clear technical requirements and measurable success criteria.
• Identify opportunities for AI, automation, data, and Axon capabilities to improve agency operations.
