Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks a General Superintendent to lead complex projects from planning through completion in Charlotte, NC. You will drive safety culture, manage teams and subcontractors, and coordinate with owners, design teams and authorities to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will develop work plans, maintain schedules, monitor costs, and lead cross-functional meetings to drive project success while upholding JE Dunn’s values and standards.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in large-scale construction projects.
• 12+ years construction experience.
• 10+ years field supervision experience.
• Experience leading Lean principles on projects (Preferred).
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and ensure injury-free environment.
• Manage subcontractors and overall job workflow.
• Oversee staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs (Safety, QA/QC, EEO).
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinate and manage project site care, custody, and control.
• Lead meetings (daily standup, weekly trade, OAC).
• Prepare and manage project schedule with Project Manager.
• Monitor budgets and costs using cost reports.
