Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Charlotte, NC is seeking a General Superintendent to develop and execute the project plan and oversee all aspects of complex projects. This role requires strong leadership, strategic oversight, and accountability for safety, quality, and timely delivery across multi‑discipline teams.

The incumbent will coordinate with owners, design teams, and field staff, manage budgets and procurement, and drive Lean construction practices to ensure project goals are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Experience leading Lean principles on projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in project management and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of safety culture on projects.
• Manage subcontractors and overall job workflow.
• Oversee staff, subcontractors, and QA/QC programs.
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinate project site care and control.
• Lead meetings and manage project schedules.
