Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead complex construction projects in Charlotte, overseeing safety, schedules, budgets, and field operations. The role requires coordinating multiple teams and ensuring timely, profitable project completion.

Responsibilities include managing subcontractors, developing work plans, leading meetings, and maintaining QA/QC standards, with a strong emphasis on safety culture and project controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and mentors staff.
• Manages subcontractors and overall job workflow.
• Oversees staff, subcontractors, and QA/QC programs.
• Develops work plans for subcontractors.
• Coordinates project site care, custody and control.
• Leads daily standup and weekly trade meetings.
• Attends and participates in progress and OAC meetings.
• Creates and updates project schedule with Project Manager.
• Monitors budget and reports costs using PM system.
• Communicates project information to owners, design team and contractors.
• Supports formwork, tools, and equipment selection for self-perform work.
• Ensures quality through specifications and QA/QC.
