Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Sales Specialist to drive revenue in the public safety sector. You will lead complex engagements with emergency dispatch centers, manage municipal procurement cycles, and act as a trusted SME for 911 agencies.

Role requires 1+ year in sales or 4+ years in related fields, strong knowledge of P25/SIP logging, and CJIS compliance. Travel up to 50% within a defined region, with a base salary range and strong OTE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of sales, customer success, military or public safety experience.
• 4+ years of sales, customer success, military or public safety experience (alternative).
• Experience selling technology to public safety agencies, local governments, or municipalities preferred.
• Strong understanding of P25, SIP/VoIP logging, CAD integration, and NG911 i3 standards.
• Familiarity with CJIS security policies and state public record retention laws.

Responsibilities

• Quota Attainment: Achieve or exceed assigned vertical sales quota on a consistent, repeatable, and transparent basis.
• Strategic Account Penetration: Target new logos and lead complex sales efforts to deeply penetrate strategic prospect accounts.
• Pipeline Forecasting: Accurately forecast revenue pipelines while maintaining Salesforce hygiene and regional visibility.
• Understand unique client business goals and design modern security solutions that mitigate risk exposure.
• Identify and build relationships with 911 directors, IT managers, and city/county purchasing agents.
• Conduct deep needs assessments regarding analog-to-digital migrations and NG911 readiness.
• Live Demonstrations: Present software capabilities like incident reconstruction, screen recording, QA evaluation, and AI speech analytics.
• Contract Management: Secure long-term RaaS contracts and system expansion revenue.
