Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Millwork Specialist to grow relationships with builders and subcontractors, selling millwork and installed services. You will manage jobs from sale to completion, visiting sites to measure and coordinate take-offs, and provide expert guidance on product features.

The role emphasizes building lasting client relationships, meeting sales targets, and delivering high-quality customer service across residential and commercial projects.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience selling millwork products including interior trim, interior doors and interior hardware.
• Ability to cold call future customers and grow relationships with existing customers.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform take-offs.
• Ability to visit job sites to measure doors and trim.
• Demonstrated ability to increase sales and improve profitability.
• Excellent communication skills and strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Develops relationships with customers and subcontractors to determine needs and provide beneficial services.
• Attain and maintain sales of all products, focusing on interior and millwork products.
• Gives presentations to builders and provides expert advice on product features and benefits.
• Do take offs and prepare estimates and ensure orders are processed accurately and on time.
