Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Rep to drive millwork sales with builders and subcontractors in residential and commercial markets. You will manage the customer relationship from sale through installation and service, visiting sites and providing expert guidance on interior trim, doors, and hardware.

The role requires at least 2 years selling millwork, strong communication, blueprint-reading, and take-off skills. A valid license and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years selling millwork products including interior trim, doors, and hardware.
• Ability to cold call and grow relationships with customers.
• Read blueprints and perform take-offs.
• Visit job sites to measure doors and trim.
• Demonstrated ability to increase sales and profitability.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT).
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with customers and subcontractors to determine needs and provide services.
• Attain and maintain sales of all products, focused on interior and millwork.
• Present to builders and advise on product features and benefits.
• Do take-offs and prepare estimates, ensuring orders ship accurately and on time.
