Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Rep focusing on millwork to grow relationships with builders and subcontractors across residential and commercial projects. You will manage the full cycle from selling to servicing, including take-offs and ensuring on-time shipments.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of millwork sales experience, can read blueprints, visit job sites to measure doors and trim, and leverage MS Office to track orders and profitability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of millwork sales experience (interior trim/doors/hardware).
• Cold calling to grow new and existing customers.
• Read blueprints and perform take-offs.
• Visit job sites to measure doors and millwork.
• Proven ability to increase sales and profitability.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• MS Office proficiency (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with customers and subcontractors to determine needs and provide services.
• Attain and maintain sales of interior and millwork products.
• Present products to builders and advise on features and benefits.
• Take-offs and prepare estimates; ensure orders ship on time.
