Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Rep to grow millwork sales with builders and subcontractors. You will visit sites, prepare take-offs, and manage client relationships to ensure on-time orders and profitability.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in millwork sales, blueprint-reading ability, and strong customer service skills. This is a full-time role with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of millwork sales experience, incl. interior trim/doors/hardware.
• Ability to cold call and grow relationships with customers.
• Skilled reading blueprints and performing take-offs.
• Ability to visit job sites to measure doors and trim.
• History of increasing sales and profitability; strong customer service.
• Proficient with MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with customers and subcontractors to identify needs.
• Drive sales for products, especially interior/millwork lines.
• Present product features and benefits to builders and clients.
• Take-offs and prepare accurate estimates; ensure orders ship on time.
