Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Rep to expand the millwork product line with builders and subcontractors. You will sell millwork, interior trim, doors, and hardware, manage client relationships, visit job sites, prepare take-offs, and provide project estimates to ensure on-time orders.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of millwork sales experience, strong communication, and the ability to read blueprints. This is a full-time role with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of selling millwork products (interior trim, doors, hardware).
• Ability to cold call new customers and grow relationships.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform take-offs.
• Ability to visit job sites to measure doors and trim.
• Proven ability to increase sales and profitability.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develops relationships with customers and subcontractors to determine their needs and provide beneficial services to them
• Responsible for attaining and maintaining the sales of all products, focused on interior and millworkproducts
• Gives presentations to builders and provides expert advice on product features and benefits.
• Do take offs and prepare estimates for these products and ensure they are ordered and shipped accurately and on time.
