Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Rep to grow our millwork product lines, focusing on interior trim and doors. You will manage client relationships with builders and subcontractors, visit sites, and prepare accurate take-offs and estimates to keep orders on time and profitable.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of millwork sales experience, strong communication skills, and a drive to increase sales.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of millwork sales experience including interior trim, interior doors, and interior hardware.
• Ability to cold call and grow relationships with new and existing customers.
• Read blueprints and perform take-offs.
• Visit job sites to measure doors and trim.
• Proven ability to increase sales and profitability; strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Develops relationships with customers and subcontractors to determine their needs and provide beneficial services to them.
• Attain and maintain the sales of all products, focused on interior and millwork products.
• Gives presentations to builders and provides expert advice on product features and benefits.
• Do take offs and prepare estimates for these products and ensure they are ordered and shipped accurately and on time.
