Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking an Outside Sales Rep to sell millwork products to builders, subcontractors, and commercial accounts. You will manage relationships, present product benefits, and handle take-offs and estimates to secure and ship orders on schedule.

The role emphasizes field visits, strong customer service, and a focus on interior trim and millwork products across residential and commercial markets.

Qualifications

• 2+ years selling millwork products (interior trim/doors/hardware).
• Ability to cold call and grow existing customers.
• Read blueprints and perform take-offs.
• Visit job sites to measure doors and trim.
• Proven ability to increase sales and profitability.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with customers and subcontractors to determine needs and provide services.
• Maintain sales of products, focusing on interior and millwork.
• Give presentations to builders and provide expert advice on product features and benefits.
• Do take-offs and prepare estimates; ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time.
