Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Rep to grow relationships with builders and subcontractors in our market. You will sell millwork products and manage the job from sale to completion, including site visits, take-offs, and coordination of orders.

The role emphasizes customer service, relationship-building, and profitability growth, with full-time benefits and a focus on interior trim and millwork lines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years selling millwork products including interior trim, interior doors, and interior hardware.
• Ability to read blueprints and do take-offs.
• Ability to visit job sites to measure doors and trim.
• Demonstrated ability to increase sales and improve profitability.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong sense of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Develops relationships with customers and subcontractors to determine needs and provide beneficial services.
• Attain and maintain sales of all products, focused on interior and millwork products.
• Gives presentations to builders and provides expert advice on product features and benefits.
• Do take offs and prepare estimates and ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time.
