Carter Lumber in Indiana is seeking an enthusiastic Outside Sales Representative to sell millwork and building materials to builders and subcontractors. You will manage accounts, visit job sites, present product benefits, and help customers select interior trim, doors and hardware.

The role requires at least 2 years of millwork sales experience, strong communication, blueprint reading, and the ability to generate take-offs and estimates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years selling Millwork products
• Able to cold call and grow customer relationships
• Ability to read blueprints and perform take-offs
• Willing to visit job sites to measure doors and trim
• Proven track record of increasing sales and profitability
• Excellent communication and customer-service mindset
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with customers and subcontractors to assess needs
• Attain and maintain sales of interior and millwork products
• Present to builders and advise on product features and benefits
• Do take-offs and prepare estimates, ensuring on-time orders and shipments
