Job summary

Carter Lumber in Tennessee is seeking an Outside Sales Rep to grow millwork and built-up materials sales with builders and subcontractors. You will develop relationships, assess customer needs, and manage projects from take-off to delivery.

A minimum of 2 years of millwork sales experience and strong communication skills are required; on-site visits and project take-offs are expected in a dynamic market. This full-time role offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of millwork sales experience including interior trim, interior doors, and interior hardware.
• Ability to cold call new customers and grow relationships.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform take-offs.
• Occasional job-site visits to measure doors and trim.
• Proven ability to increase sales and profitability.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Decision making and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develops relationships with customers and subcontractors to determine needs and provide services.
• Attains and maintains sales of all products, focused on interior and millwork.
• Gives presentations to builders and explains product features and benefits.
• Performs take-offs and prepares estimates; ensures orders ship on time.
