Plastipak Packaging, Inc. in Plymouth, Michigan seeks a Mid-West Regional Account Manager to cultivate new customer accounts and expand existing relationships with innovative and sustainable packaging solutions.

You will own the sales cycle, negotiate contracts, and manage customer budgets, rebates, and forecasts, while traveling up to 60% to drive growth. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or Packaging Engineering and at least five years in manufacturing sales

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or Packaging Engineering.
• Minimum of five years of manufacturing sales experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
• Ability to travel up to 60%.
• Experience using SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sales cycle and develop strong business relationships.
• Collaborate with internal partners in the design and development of packaging solutions.
• Prospect for new opportunities by identifying prospects, qualifying, analyzing, and developing a sales plan to promote Plastipak’s capabilities.
• Take the lead on contract negotiations and securing the sale.
• Oversee the entire scope of the customer relationship, including budgets, accruals, rebates, and forecasts.
