Job summary

C&W Services is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the Automation Engineering team at our facility. You will oversee control systems, plan projects with your team, and drive efficiency across conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, and SCADA devices.

Qualifications include a degree or equivalent experience in electrical/mechanical engineering, strong PLC/SCADA skills, and proven leadership. Travel up to 10% is required as part of cross-site support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• Experience with electrical theory, robotics, controls components, and automated equipment.
• Proficiency in programming software (e.g. RSLogix5000 Studio, FT View).
• Knowledge of robotics work cells and their control systems.
• Experience with SCADA systems and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and mentor Automation Engineers to meet facility goals.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Safety for MHE optimization.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks.
• Monitor metrics and address performance issues with maintenance/ops teams.
• Escalate downtime issues and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Support capital projects and plan new technology installations.
