Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for our Metal Fab (1st Shift) in Olathe, KS. Lead a multi-skilled production team, manage daily operations, hire and train staff, and drive continuous improvement to improve delivery, quality, and cost metrics.

The role emphasizes safety, labor planning, and collaboration with quality and planning teams to meet customer requirements and plant goals.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Onsite plant environment and may be exposed to bad weather, excessive heat and/or noise.
• Two years of supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervisory Leadership: provide leadership and guidance to manufacturing team, ensuring productivity and a positive environment.
• Recruitment and onboarding participation.
• Coach and evaluate employees; conduct performance reviews.
• Ensure safety guidelines and maintain a clean, safe manufacturing area.
• Coordinate with production planning to meet on-time delivery and optimize schedules.
• Monitor quality and implement improvements using ERP data.
• Manage inventory accuracy and lean improvement initiatives.
