Job summary

SPX Technologies in Olathe, KS seeks a Manufacturing Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead a manufacturing team and drive daily operations. The role includes hiring, training, and motivating staff while prioritizing safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, knowledge of ERP systems, and strong communication and leadership skills to foster continuous improvement and team development.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience attracting, retaining, motivating, and developing high performing, diverse teams.
• Experience in unionized manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including assembly, welding/machining, quality control.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise manufacturing team, ensuring productivity, collaboration, and a positive working environment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles.
• Promote safety by enforcing guidelines and maintaining a safe work area.
• Coordinate production planning and scheduling to ensure on-time delivery.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance evaluations of hourly staff.
