Job summary

SPX Technologies, located in Olathe, KS, seeks a Manufacturing Supervisor, Assembly (1st Shift). You will lead a manufacturing team, oversee daily operations, and drive on-time delivery, quality, and safety in a large HVAC-related facility.

You will hire, train, and motivate hourly staff, partner with HR on staffing, and champion continuous improvement, using ERP and lean practices to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in unionized manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including assembly, welding/machining, quality control.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to the manufacturing team, ensuring productivity and a positive working environment.
• Partner in recruitment, onboarding, and employee development to build a diverse, high-performing team.
• oversee safety, training, evaluations, and corrective actions to maintain a safe, compliant workplace.
• Coordinate production planning, scheduling, and inventory to meet on-time delivery and quality goals.
• Improve processes using lean methods and ERP data to reduce waste and cost.
