Job summary

SPX Technologies in Olathe, KS, is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead daily production operations, hire and develop a skilled team, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will ensure safety, on-time delivery, and quality, while partnering with planning and logistics to optimize inventory and production flow.

The role requires strong leadership, expertise in manufacturing processes, and knowledge of lean methodologies.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience attracting, retaining, motivating, and developing high performing, diverse teams.
• Experience in unionized manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly, welding/machining, quality control.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency using manufacturing software and systems for inventory management and production planning, including working in ERP related system.
• Knowledge of HVAC industry.
• Proven ability to build effective partnerships with leaders.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to motivate others, supervise, and train hourly manufacturing employees in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a manufacturing team and oversee daily operations and production processes.
• Hire, train, and motivate employees; drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure on-time delivery, quality control, and inventory management.
• Promote safety; maintain clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with production planning and logistics to prioritize schedules.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and monitor KPIs.
• Provide coaching, performance discussions, and corrective actions as needed.
