Job summary

HungryPanda is seeking a Business Development professional in San Francisco to identify and onboard merchants, conduct in-person visits, and negotiate partnerships to grow GMV. You will collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Product teams to tailor platform strategies for merchants.

The role requires Mandarin Chinese fluency; English is a plus. You will manage merchant relationships, pitch value-added services, and monitor performance to expand order volume.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese required; proficiency in English is a plus.
• Experience in B2B sales, merchant acquisition, or offline BD is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the food delivery industry, local retail, or internet platform operations is a strong advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; confident communicating with business owners.
• Ability to work independently, manage field visits, and close deals under pressure.
• Highly organized with time management, project coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Team player able to collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Product teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit potential merchants to join the platform and drive onboarding and partnerships.
• Conduct frequent in-person visits to merchants to pitch cooperation and finalize onboarding procedures.
• Maintain and strengthen long-term merchant relationships through regular support and visits.
• Collaborate with each merchant to develop platform strategies and grow order volume and GMV.
• Coordinate promotional campaigns with Marketing to increase merchant exposure and transaction frequency.
• Manage merchant backend data and settings to ensure smooth operations and accurate information.
• Monitor market trends and merchant feedback to provide insights for business decisions and product improvements.
