Job summary

HungryPanda in California seeks a Sales/Business Development professional to acquire merchants, negotiate contracts, and grow GMV. You will arrange in-person meetings, onboard new partners, and manage relationships to ensure smooth operations and higher order volumes.

The role requires Mandarin fluency, strong time management, and the ability to work across Marketing and Delivery Ops to align strategies with business goals. A valid driver’s license is preferred for partner visits in the region.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in Mandarin (written and spoken).
• 1+ year experience in business development or sales; experience in foodservice or delivery is a plus.
• Strong time management and project management skills.
• High sensitivity to market trends and data.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to work with restaurants; comfortable with rejection and strong people skills.
• Excellent teamwork abilities; able to coordinate with multiple teams and negotiate independently.
• Have a valid driver licence and a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Acquire merchants and assist them in achieving higher orders and GMV (Gross merchandise volume), responsible for sales revenue and market share.
• Arrange in-person meetings to negotiate contracts with potential merchants.
• Maintain existing relationships with cooperating merchants, coordinate and resolve issues with various stakeholders, continuously improve merchant satisfaction and merchant service quality, and ensure fluent business operations.
• Conduct regular merchant visits, apply for/replace merchant material for merchants.
• Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
• Maintain and constantly update backstage setting for each merchant in charge.
• Liaising with Marketing, and Delivery Operation to align strategies aimed at increasing GMV.
