Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking motivated Field Interviewers to support the MEPS program, conducting in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in nationally representative households.

FIs travel to training in January 2027 and may travel for data collection, including occasional overnight trips. This is a part-time, year-round position with two data collection periods, requiring 20 hours per week when available and adherence to data security and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Available for mandatory trainings and scheduling windows in January 2027.
• Able to travel locally and occasionally long-distance with overnight travel.
• Able to meet physical requirements (lift 20 pounds, walk, climb stairs).

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person or computer-assisted interviews with adults.
• Contact households in-person or by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Set appointments, complete interviews, and collect/return required documents.
• Transmit data daily and comply with data security and confidentiality policies.
