Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers for the MEPS study to conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in households across the United States.

The role involves travel to training in January 2027, local and occasional overnight travel, and a year-round data collection cycle with two main periods. Starting in January 2027, you will complete web-based and in-person trainings and be responsible for data transmission, paperwork, and adherence to confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience in in-person interviewing or computer-assisted interviewing is preferred.
• Public contact and cold calling experience is preferred.
• Willingness to travel locally and occasionally long distances.

Responsibilities

• Contact households in person or by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Set appointments, conduct interviews, and collect required documents.
• Transmit data daily and comply with data security requirements.
