Job summary

Westat, Inc. seeks Field Interviewers for the MEPS study in the United States. Primary duties include conducting in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults, recruiting participants, and handling paperwork.

Selected candidates will travel for training in January 2027, may travel to local or overnight households, and must work at least 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• Reside in and travel within project-designated areas to contact households and conduct in-person interviews.
• Available to work January 2027 through December 2030; minimum 20 hours per week.
• Must meet physical requirements: lift 20 pounds, walk blocks, climb stairs with equipment.
• Have a current, valid driver's license and a fully insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Contact households in-person and by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Complete and submit administrative paperwork; transmit data daily.
• Attend mandatory trainings and travel to in-person training sessions as required.
• Maintain data security and confidentiality in all activities.
