Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Site Manager, MEP to join the Field Operations Team on field/project-based work. The role requires coordinating MEP activities from pre-start to finish, managing subcontractors, and ensuring safety and quality on site.

You will support the MEP Project Manager, help develop scopes and schedules, and assist in bidding and reporting. Travel nationwide to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate's degree or equivalent or 15 years of progressive construction experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in light/heavy industrial sectors is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, communication and problem solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents.
• Strong people management skills.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• MS Project and scheduling software experience is a plus.
• Possess strong work ethic, be self-motivated, and work well in a team environment.
• Visa Sponsorship: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of MEP Project Manager.
• Assist in developing MEP project schedules within the overall construction schedule and prepare estimates for MEP work.
• Assist in selecting qualified bidders and negotiating final prices.
• Assist in preparing reports such as cost to complete and monthly billings.
• Review drawings (P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, Structural) when issued to field and maintain current set.
• Assist in pricing work and drafting changes and change orders for review.
• Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
• Schedule work including subcontractors and monitor productivity and quantities.
• Maintain safety and quality standards per company and job specifications.
