MEP Site Lead - Field Operations

Job summary

Gray Construction seeks a Site Manager, MEP to join its Field Operations team on field/project assignments. This role supports the MEP PM, coordinates subcontractors, and helps manage schedules, costs, and safety on site.

The position requires strong leadership, extensive construction experience, and the ability to read complex drawings. Expect on-site duties across varied projects with a focus on quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent plus 10+ years of construction experience, or 15+ years with increasing responsibility.
• Experience in light/heavy industrial sectors is highly desired.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings, financial reports and contracts.
• Strong people management and self-motivation in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Assist in developing scopes of work for MEP review and approval.
• Help develop MEP project schedules and prepare estimates for self-performed work.
• Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
• Review drawings (P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, Structural) and maintain current sets.
• Assist in pricing work, draft changes and change orders for MEP PM review.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and coordinate with supervision and subcontractors.
• Provide safety leadership and participate in Gray’s QMS safety program on site.
• Prepare progress, materials, cost reports and adjust schedules as directed.
