Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking an Assistant Site Manager, MEP to support Field Operations on field and project based work across U.S. projects. This role involves coordinating on-site activities, assisting with subcontractor pricing, schedules, and quality control.

The candidate will assist the MEP Project Manager in evaluating vendors, drafting subcontracts, and preparing progress reports, while maintaining safety and QMS adherence. Travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and a minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Visa Sponsorship: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Studies specifications to assist planning procedures for construction on the basis of start and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
• Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of MEP Project/Site Manager.
• Assist in the development of MEP project schedule within the entire construction schedule. Prepare estimates in areas of MEP self-performed work, and assist in complete project estimate.
• Solicit prices from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for review and approval by MEP Project Managers.
• Assist in selection of qualified bidders and negotiate final prices.
• Assist in drafting subcontracts and purchase orders for MEP Project Manager's review and approval.
• Assist in the preparation of various reports, e.g. cost to complete, monthly billings and status reports.
• Review all drawings, i.e. P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, Structural, etc. when they are issued to the field and coordinate and maintain a current set at all times.
• Assist in pricing work, draft changes and change orders to be reviewed by MEP Project Manager.
• Assist in ensuring customer satisfaction with the project.
• Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
