Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking an Assistant Site Manager, MEP to join the Field Operations Team on field/project based construction. You will assist the MEP Project/Site Manager with planning, scheduling, procurement, and coordination across trades to keep projects on track.

The role requires an Associate degree and at least five years of related experience, with basic computer skills and US travel. Visa sponsorship is not offered; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent and at least five years related experience.
• Basic computer skills including word processing and e-mail.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the United States.
• Visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning procedures and staffing for each phase of construction.
• Assist in locating and evaluating subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.
• Develop scopes of work for review and approval by MEP Project/Site Manager.
• Contribute to developing MEP project schedule and estimates; coordinate trades.
• Solicit prices from subcontractors and vendors for review by MEP Project Managers.
• Assist in drafting subcontracts and purchase orders for review.
• Prepare reports such as cost-to-complete and status reports.
• Review drawings (P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, Structural).
• Assist in pricing work, changes and change orders, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
• Schedule work including subcontractors and determine material needs.
• Set up and close out construction site; ensure safety adherence.
• Support the MEP Project Manager in day-to-day operations.
