Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Site Manager, MEP to join their Field Operations Team. This hands-on role supports the MEP Project Manager with subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and cost control on field projects across the United States.

The candidate will oversee on-site activities, ensure safety, and drive project efficiency. The position requires strong leadership, reading of drawings, and extensive experience in construction, particularly in MEP areas.

Qualifications

• Requires associate degree or equivalent and minimum 10 years construction experience or 15 years with increasing responsibility.
• Experience in light/heavy industrial sector highly desired.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings and reports.
• Must manage teams and subcontractors with a proactive, safety‑led approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Help develop scopes of work for MEP projects.
• Assist in developing MEP project schedules and estimates.
• Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
• Schedule work and coordinate subcontractors; monitor productivity and progress.
• Assist in pricing work, draft changes, and change orders.
• Maintain safety and quality standards on site and enforce Gray’s safety program.
• Prepare progress, materials, and cost reports; adjust schedules as needed.
