Job summary

Gray Construction in Lexington is seeking a Site Manager, MEP to join the Field Operations Team on a field/project-based basis. The role entails coordinating on-site construction activities, managing subcontractors, and ensuring safety and quality on all MEP trades.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial construction, proven leadership, and the ability to interpret complex drawings and documents.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school AND 10+ years construction experience OR 15+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in light/heavy industrial sectors preferred.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings, financial reports, and contracts.
• Strong people management skills; team oriented and proactive.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with scheduling software (MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of MEP Project Manager.
• Assist in the development of MEP project schedule and prepare estimates for self-performed work.
• Coordinate and manage all trades throughout the build process.
• Review drawings (P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, Structural) and maintain current sets.
• Assist in pricing work and draft changes and change orders.
• Assist in ensuring customer satisfaction with the project.
• Coordinate on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
• Schedule work, including subcontractors, and track productivity and quantities.
• Ensure safety and quality standards per QMS and company policies.
