Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Site Manager, MEP to lead field operations on industrial projects across the United States. This is a field/project based role requiring hands-on management of subcontractors, schedules, safety, quality, and coordination with MEP Project Manager.

The ideal candidate has extensive construction experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to read drawings and reports. Travel to project sites will be required; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 10+ years construction experience.
• Experience in light/heavy industrial sector preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to read architectural/engineering drawings and reports.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; MS Project a plus.
• Willingness to travel; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of MEP Project Manager.
• Assist in the development of MEP project schedule within the entire construction schedule. Prepare estimates in areas of MEP self-performed work, and assist in complete project estimate.
• Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
• Schedule work, including subcontractors.
• Assist in the productivity and quantity tracking of the subcontractors installed work.
• Determine materials, equipment and tools needed.
• Secure appropriate supply sources.
• Set up and close out construction site.
• Serve as on-site Safety Officer and participate in the company safety portion of the QMS program.
• Responsible for procurement of tools and materials to be delivered on time to conform to work schedules.
