Job summary

Skanska is seeking a Preconstruction Manager - MEP to lead the preconstruction process for multi-disciplinary projects, delivering high-quality, cost-effective estimates and coordinating with design, operations and business development.

You will guide the design process from pursuit through construction, align scope, cost, schedule and quality objectives, and build strong relationships with subcontractors and design partners while upholding Skanska’s values and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of leadership in preconstruction/estimating or Mechanical/Electrical teams with oversight of multi-discipline cost estimating (civil, structural, architectural, and MEP).
• 5+ years producing and reviewing detailed cost estimates using advanced estimating tools and market insights; ensure accuracy and quality.
• 5+ years of experience with risk management, contract review, and value management capabilities.
• 5+ years coordinating design, operations, and business development; ability to present to clients and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preconstruction process and resources to deliver high-quality, cost‑effective services within scope and budget.
• Produce and review detailed MEP cost estimates; coordinate with civil, structural, architectural disciplines.
• Collaborate with design, operations and business development; propose value-management options and support procurement planning.
