Job summary

Skanska is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Engineer to lead estimating and preconstruction efforts across interior construction, exterior envelope, structural, civil, and MEP disciplines. You will mentor junior team members, interpret drawings, and track value management options while meeting critical deadlines.

You will engage subcontractors for budgets and bids, present findings internally and externally, and utilize Skanska’s benchmarking tools to validate work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with commercial construction estimating and estimating software solutions.
• 2+ years of experience with common preconstruction software and BIM/VDC takeoff workflows.
• 2+ years of experience with subcontractor engagement and market knowledge, including soliciting bids and post-bid analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate, timely estimates and related preconstruction services.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to create clear estimate clarifications.
• Lead bid package development and post-bid analysis with subcontractors.
