Job summary

Skanska is seeking an Assistant Preconstruction Manager to lead and support preconstruction efforts across civil, structural, interior and exterior envelope scopes. You will develop concept and detailed estimates, coordinate bid packages, and present deliverables to clients with a focus on accuracy and value management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading preconstruction/estimating teams across civil, structural, architectural, and MEP.
• 5+ years producing and reviewing detailed cost estimates using advanced estimating tools.
• 5+ years of risk management, contract review, and value management capabilities.
• 5+ years coordinating design, operations, and business development; ability to present to clients and maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated expertise in the Value Management processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent/applicable degree; or 8 years equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop concept and detailed estimates across civil, structural, interior and exterior-envelope scopes.
• Prepare clear technical assumptions and scope narratives.
• Propose value-management options.
• Coordinate bid package development and post-bid analysis.
• Contribute market intelligence, supports risk-management strategies (bonds, insurance, SDI).
• Present preconstruction deliverables internally and to clients.
