Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking a Memory Care Program Director/Activities Supervisor for our Lewisville community to lead engaging programs across care levels.

You will plan a vibrant calendar, collaborate with staff, and promote resident independence and fulfillment through diverse events. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification, and experience managing staff and volunteers in programs for older adults; a Recreation Therapy or Human Services degree is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prefer college degree in Recreation Therapy or Human Services and/or two years of equivalent work experience in the field.
• Prior experience in small group socialization and creative programming for older adults.
• Prior experience in managing staff and volunteers.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and oversee the Activities program for residents.
• Create and maintain a multi-faceted daily/monthly calendar for all care levels.
• Establish community partnerships to offer activities and joint programming.
• Provide opportunities for residents to engage in volunteer projects.
• Ensure activities supplies are ordered and available for use.
• Transport residents to activities and events in the community.
